About Me
I have a strong mathematical background: PhD in theoretical physics in 2007 at Moscow State University and University of Ulm. In 2011, I switched to Life Sciences and have been doing Computational Biology analysis since then. I did medical genetics and diabetes research at Lund University before joining NBIS SciLifeLab in 2016 where I have been expanding into Cell and Evolutionary Biology. My research interests are predominantly focused around applications of mathematical statistics and machine learning to biological and biomedical data. During my career, I have been working with diverse types of data analyses including precision medicine, transcriptomics, multiOmics integration, genomics, single cell data analysis, metagenomics, population genetics etc.

I have extensive teaching experience from leading a number of courses on biological data analysis. My teaching style combines regular presentation with live coding and mathematical derivations on white board, which is usually appreciated by the audience.
